Vivendi Games has announced that it has secured the rights to publish TimeShift, an upcoming FPS in the works at Saber Interactive. The game will be released sometime later this year for the PC and Xbox 360.
Assume the role of renowned and recently retired test pilot Colonel Michael Swift, who is recovering from the tragic loss of his daughter. Desperate for an escape from his misery, Swift accepts a unique offer from the US Government to test an experimental set of time-control devices and become the world’s first “chrononaut.” During the tests, he inadvertently alters time and returns to a present changed beyond recognition. The democracy he left has become a fascist nightmare and his knowledge of the events that led to this alternate present has made him an enemy of the state. Armed with the time-shifting Quantum Suit, Swift is now on the run, on a perilous mission to fix the past, present and future.

Confirming various rumors, VU Games has announced that F.E.A.R. is headed for the Xbox 360 it will be publicly unveiled at E3 starting tomorrow.
Having garnered critical and commercial success on the PC, the next-gen version of the game will be designed to immerse the player deeper in the world of F.E.A.R. The Xbox 360 version will feature brand new multiplayer content, making full use of Xbox Live.
F.E.A.R. for Xbox 360 is being developed by Day 1 Studios in conjunction with Monolith Productions and is planned for release this Autumn.

More celebs than you can shake a stick at! VU sends over another announcement, detailing the voice actors who have provided their talents to Scarface: The World is Yours, the upcoming action game based on the classic mob movie.
Actors include professionals from Hollywood as well as television stars, along with returning cast members from the 1983 film. Announcing from Los Angeles, VU Games disclosed the development of Crash Boom Bang!, an “exciting, humorous” game that will allow players to dive into one of 40 action-oriented, “outrageously funny,” multiplayer mini-games, and bet and communicate with other players.
Exclusive to the DS, and scheduled for release this October, the game will feature the touch panel communication multiplayer gameplay technology, 40 mini-games, up to 80 items to collect, the aforementioned betting feature, as well as many other mechanics.
In Crash Boom Bang!, Crash and his friends embark on a worldwide race in a quest for its multi-million dollar prize. With hidden intentions of finding an ancient lost city and the famed magical “Super Big Power Stone” that grants its user one wish, the race’s sponsor Viscount Devil plans on using the contestants to solve the mystery. The map of the race checkpoints is based on the Viscount’s ancient map, and the evil Dr. Neo Cortex, also an invitee to the race, has figured out the Viscount’s master plan and in his own relentless pursuit for world domination, sets out to steal the map and retrieve the legendary stone. It’s up to Crash and his friends to win the big race … and save the world!

With the Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx starring movie coming up this July, VU Games announced the game, a third-person action-shooter for the PSP.
In development at Rebellion, the game will be released before the movie and will have players follow a storyline set just before the events of the film. Gamers can play as either Crockett or Tubbs, or team up wirelessly to play through missions cooperatively.

Vivendi has announced that they have licensed Freestyle Street Basketball, a fast-paced online basketball game, for release n North America. Launched in Korea in 2004, and going on to become one of the country’s most popular games, Freestyle focuses on community play, customization and “fun” for all players.
Players will be able to customize and create their own unique player, level up through experience in court and earn points for micro-transactions and more.
No release date was mentioned for the title, but it can be expected sometime later this year.

Gamespot reports that VU Games will be publishing TimeShift which was originally the property of Atari. The article goes on to state that according to a VUG spokesperson, the game will be shipped when ready.
As for the platforms - apparently, the publisher has decided to drop the Xbox version of the game. TimeShift will be released for the PC and Xbox 360 “when it’s ready.”

VU Games has announced Eragon, an upcoming fantasy-adventure game tie-in with the movie of the same name. Scheduled for release this November for the PC, PS2, Xbox, GBA, DS, PSP and Xbox 360, Eragon is inspired by Christopher Paolini’s best-selling fantasy novel. The movie is expected to hit theatres on December 12.
Based on the best-selling novel, this epic fantasy-adventure centers on a young farm boy named Eragon whose destiny is revealed with the help of a dragon. Eragon, now a Dragon Rider, is swept into a world of magic and power, discovering that he alone has the power to save - or destroy - an Empire.
The game will let players engage in a combo and magic-based combat system, including finishing moves, multiple grapples and degradable blocks with counter attacks. Players will also be able to take part in flight-based combat and summon dragons; the game will also feature two player co-op featuring team attack bonuses and dragon fight/flight combo gameplay.
E3 will be host to the game’s public unveiling, with Fox and VUG premiering video footage and first look at the gameplay.
