
Beginning August 6, parsimonious gamers across the States will be able to add five new titles to their collection, thanks to new games being added to Sony’s “Greats Hits” lineup for the PS2. The new titles being added are SOCOM 3: US NAVY SEALs, Shadow of the Colossus, Ratchet: Deadlocked, Jak X: Combat Racing and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. These additions mark a total of 169 “Greatest Hits” titles for the popular platform, with each retailing for as low as $20.

The Greatest Hits lineup for the PSP is now available, letting gamers in North America check out up to five PSP titles at $20 each. The most popular first-party titles have made the first cut: Ape Escape: On the Loose, ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin’ Trails, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee, Twisted Metal: Head On and Wipeout Pure.
Additional third-party titles will join the Greatest Hits program later this year, including Lumines, Midnight Club 3, Star Wars Battlefront II, Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 Remix and Untold Legends.

Starting July 5, gamers in North America will be able to pick up five PSP games for less. SCEA has announced the launch of the “Greatest Hits” program for the PSP, with the initial selection being five first-party titles: Ape Escape: On the Loose, ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin’ Trails, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee, Twisted Metal: Head On, and Wipeout Pure. These titles will be available for $20.
The announcement also disclosed that nearly 15 third-party titles will be added to the roster in the future.

To increase sales of Xbox games, Microsoft has introduced a new Best of Platinum Hits series, where the most popular games for the company’s past console will sell for $10 apiece. Eleven games mark the inauguration of the line, including Counter-Strike, Elder Scrolls III, Fuzion Frenzy, MechAssault, Project Gotham Racing 2, Soul Calibur II, Ghost Recon, Ghost Recon Island Thunder, Rainbow Six 3, Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Sony also announced that it has added two more titles to its Greatest Hits line: God of War and Gran Turismo 4. Both titles now retail for $20.
