This has to be the coolest thing I have seen this week - a trailer for Samba de Amigo. Monkeys with maracas… overenthusiastic fathers… looks-to-be-fun gameplay are all present here.

New screenshots from Gearbox’s sci-fi FPS/RPG Borderlands have been released. The game is in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Aliens have overrun the Sega headquarters! The new lords at Sega have announced that it has signed Gearbox Software to create a first-person shooter based on the Alien film franchise, which they got in a recently announced deal. The game will be developed for next-gen systems, alongside the Obsidian RPG as well as Alien Syndrome.
Famous for the Brothers in Arms series, Gearbox is also known for their work on Half-Life and Halo PC and is one of the best in the field. The FPS Alien title, as per the announcement, will retain the atmospheric look and feel of the original films while using the power of next-gen platforms to “create an entirely new interactive Alien experience.”
As expected, no release date was mentioned.

Through this Gamespot article comes word of a videogame adaptation of Heat, the cult-favorite movie by Michael Mann released back in 1995. It featured Al Pacino, Val Kilmer and Robert de Niro in a “hardcore” bank heist.
Announced by Titan, Heat will be a prequel or sequel to the movie and will be released on next-gen platforms sometime next year. Titan has reached a deal with Regency Entertainment, which holds the rights to the movie, for the game that will reportedly feature the voices and likenesses of the aforementioned actors.
Also, according to the announcement, Mann is in talks with Gearbox to oversee the game’s development. The studio is well known for its PC port of Halo and its Brothers in Arms franchise.
Further details are expected soon.

Following the revelation of the game in a recent magazine article, Gearbox has upped the Brothers in Arms 3: Hell’s Highway website. The site currently offers two screenshots and an overview of the game, with a third screenshot being blurred - users will have to answer the given question to view the image.
Below are the first two screenshots:

Having already been revealed from last year’s Tokyo Game Show, Ubisoft and Gearbox have finally officially announced Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, the second sequel to the WWII shooter series for the PS3 and PC.
Built on Unreal Engine 3, the squad-based WWII shooter will offer a redesigned online component, “compelling” story, authenticity and more. The game drops players into Operation Market-Garden, the largest airborne operation of World War II as Matt Baker, Joe Hartsock and the rest of the 101st Airborne Division fight to bring about a quick end to the war.
Brothers in Arms 3 is scheduled for release this Holiday season.

On PlayerOne.be are scans of Brothers in Arms 3, showcasing the game in all its next-gen glory! There’s a lengthy report up too, but it’s in a language most of us do not understand. If somebody can translate it, please do so in the comments.
