Ubisoft has released four of its older games for free - Far Cry, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Rayman Raving Rabbids and Ghost Recon. They are supported by in-game advertising and will require a free Ubi.com account to play. Unfortunately, this is US-only, so you’ll need to have a Ubi account with an US address, though it’s easy to create one even if you aren’t in the region.
Grab the games from 3D Downloads and Gamer’s Hell.

Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry Vengeance for the Wii. Based on the highly-successful Far Cry Evolution, the new game features a new storyline, new maps and new weapons; it also takes advantage of the console’s unique remote and nunchuk controllers. Far Cry Vengeance is a Wii launch title.
The incident at Jacutan Archipelago changed Jack Carver’s life forever. Jack has had little choice but to embrace the disturbing talents unleashed by Krieger’s unique brand of folk medicine. Back at his home port in Micronesia, Jack thought he had finally found paradise. But when a gorgeous woman draws him in on a dangerous heist, their sun-drenched days take a chilling turn. Hunted for a murder he didn’t commit, Jack must draw on his most savage instincts to make his predators his prey. Game features include:Wii Unleashed - Dig deeper into the power of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck through survival tactics that include driving, shooting, jumping, balancing, climbing, grenading, and Far Cry’s ever-popular Feral attacking.
Weapons - Choose from a variety of weapons in a struggle to endure the rebel-infested jungle. Take down an unsuspecting victim from behind with a machete or meet the fight head-on with your machine gun.
Vehicles - From ATVs to hovercrafts, pickup trucks to Jet Skis, drive over, around, and through vicious combat situations.
Interactive Environments - Utilize the lush, tropical surroundings to your advantage, using stealth to sneak through the foliage past unsuspecting rebels.
Unleash the Wrath - Feel what its like to be the predator, not the prey, as you unleash the beast within. Jump higher, run faster, and slash with more fury than all of your enemies combined through the animalistic feral abilities unique to the Far Cry series.
Multiplayer - Challenge your friends in Far Cry: Vengeance’s frenetic Chaos mode as you battle to be the last person standing.

Through a job posting on their site, Crytek, best known for Far Cry (PC) and working on Crysis, revealed that it is looking to branch out to console development, especially the PS3, as they are looking for a “PS3 Console Programmer”.
Although the listing doesn’t specifically mention any project, the responsibility of the programmer would be to “work on various aspects of porting to PS3″ and “cross platform code development,” leading one to speculate that the studio just might be bringing Crysis over to the next-gen console. However, nothing is set in stone yet, and Crysis is currently a PC exclusive.

Turns out Ubisoft has had such a huge crush on Far Cry that the company has bought the IP rights to the Far Cry property as well as a perpetual license to use the CryEngine Far Cry Edition.
The agreement sees Ubisoft getting an exclusive worldwide license to the brand, including characters, likenesses, copyrights and environmental settings. This will allow the company to develop and publish sequels, add-ons, derivative and merchandising products on any formats. In addition, Ubisoft also has the license to use the Far Cry edition of CryEngine to develop, sell and distribute an unlimited number of video games.
Please don’t milk Far Cry dry, Ubisoft. Please.

Additionally, Ubisoft announced that the game will include a Map editor.
Both Evolution and Predator (X360) will be released on March 31.
