
Metro 3D has announced its partnership with Archos to include its MP3 player technology for use in Earache Extreme Metal Racing. This will allow players to choose tracks whilst playing the game.
The game, in development at Data Design Interactive, is set to release on PS2, PC and PSP on October 27. As the name suggests, the game includes metal bands as racing teams, including Deicide, Mortiis, Severe Torture and many others.

Metro 3D and Data Design Interactive send word that Earache Extreme Metal Racing will be hitting the streets on September 22. Their announcement also reported that the game will make its debut at the Leipzig Games Convention: hall 2, meeting booth E51.

Earache Extreme Metal Racing is shaping up to be one hell of a “metal” fest - today Metro 3D has announced a joint partnership with BC Rich, manufacturer of high performance guitars and basses, to further promote the upcoming racing game that takes you to “hell” and beyond.
Shipping July 7 for the PS2, PC and PSP, EEMR sees players “burn rubber through hell and other wastelands.” Artists such as Severe Torture, Cult of Luna, Napalm Death, The Haunted and Hate Eternal, among others, have contributed to the soundtrack. Meanwhile, the following artists have been confirmed to appear as racing ‘teams’ within the game: Mortiis, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Akercocke, Decapitated, Biomechanical Municipal Waste, The Berzerker, Linea 77 and Society 1.
