Yes, after thousands of persistent rumors and speculations, Microsoft has finally said it out loud: a price drop for the Xbox 360! In a report by Next-gen.biz, Robbie Bach of Microsoft stated that the company is currently thinking of how to “cost reduce the Xbox 360″ and that it is the “first order of business.”
He continues, stating the obvious fact that Microsoft had beat Sony to the market, which, in turn, favors them since they will have the “cost advantage”, “price more effectively” and “reach price points quicker.” Basically, they are going to take advantage of coming first to the market by pricing the Xbox 360 more competitively, making it more appealing to the price-conscious gamer.
