Hoping to cater to battle strategy gamers, Ascaron Entertainment sent out word that it will release a Blitzkrieg 2 Anthology next month. The set includes Blitzkrieg 2 and its two expansions - Liberation and Fall of the Reich.

The original game let players command German, American and Russian WW2 armies, taking charge of more than 250 types of historically accurate units, including 60 types of ground infantry. There are over 80 missions and 15 multiplayer maps. The add-ons expand on this by offering two more campaigns, three major offensives and more.

The Command & Conquer series has marched its way through a decade of awesomeness. To celebrate that, EA announced a new compilation title dubbed Command & Conquer Saga, which includes all of the Westwood Studios and EA titles as well as the recently-released C&C3: Tiberium Wars.

The package consists of 13 titles in total and will be released sometime this month for $50. Below is the full list:

Atari has announced Atari Classics Evolved, homage to its landmark catalogue, for the PSP. It is being developed by Stainless Games and is set for release this Fall.

The retro compilation will feature the following eleven classics: Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Battlezone, Centipede, Lunar Lander, Millipede, Missile Command, Super Breakout, Tempest, Warlords and Pong. These titles will be presented in both an original and evolved version, maintaining the original gameplay while updating the graphics. In adition to the above games, there will also be more than 60 original Atari 2600 titles, including Yar’s Revenge, Night Driver, Canyon Bomber and Crystal Castles.

The abovementioned games will feature online leaderboards and will also support wireless multiplayer modes.

Fans of the ever-popular franchise can look forward to Star Wars: The Best of PC from LucasArts that combines all the popular Windows games in the series in one package. This compilation will go on sale this Holiday season for $40.

The package includes Empire at War, Knights of the Old Republic, Battlefront, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Republic Commando. Additionally, it will also offer a 14-day trial of Star Wars Galaxies.

History nerds rejoice! CDV has announced the American Conquest Anthology, an RTS compilation planned for release this November. The compilation includes American Conquest, American Conquest: Fight Back and American Conquest: Divided Nation. Anthology will offer a combined total of over 100 missions, 25 campaigns and 22 nations, as well as diverse campaigns, random map generator and online multiplayer modes.

2K Games sends word that it will release Civilization Chronicles, the “definite Civilization collector’s edition”, combining all the games in the series in one behemoth compilation.

The set will include Sid Meier’s Civilization I, Civilization II, Civilization II: Fantastic Worlds, Civilization II: Conflicts in Civilization, Civilization II: Test of Time, Civilization III, Civilization III: Play the World, Civilization III: Conquests and Civilization IV.

In addition, the compilation will also include The Card Game, an original tabletop card game designed by Civilization IV lead designer Soren Johnson, featuring more than 250 custom cards and rules based on Civilization IV; the Chronicles of Civilization, a 96-page book containing the history of the franchise, as told through interviews with past Civilization designers, an interview with Sid Meier, and more; a video DVD featuring presentations about the creation of Civilization IV; and more including printed tech tree posters from each game, wallpapers and podcast MP3s.

Sid Meier’s Civilization Chronicles will be released next month for $70.

If this EBGames product page is to be believed, EA is working on compiling its greatest retro hits for release on the PSP, though the company is relocating its development time and money to a certain other handheld.

A website for TrackMania United has gone up, revealing plans for a consolidated package for all the games and add-ons in the series. In addition to all previous games, United will feature a new set of functionalities for both online and offline play, as well as many other features all of which are described in detail on the site.
