Have a band? Can sing? Looking for your ‘big’ break? Have a MySpace profile? Vivendi Universal Games has launched its Scarface Video Game Soundtrack Talent Search, a North American contest being run on MySpace.com that will reward the best unsigned music talent in the region with the inclusion of their song in the upcoming Scarface game and the chance to perform live in front of major music executives.

Bands and musicians who have a MySpace Music profile may enter the contest that will have the site’s community choose the best 200 tracks, which will then be heard by a panel of music and video game industry judges, who will determine 20 finalists. These 20 songs will then be put up for voting on the Scarface MySpace profile, with the one getting the most votes winning the contest.

The winner and two runner-ups will be flown to Los Angeles to open for a major label headline act at a concert event at E3 2006 - executives from major labels and videogame companies will be attending. The songs will also be included in the Scarface soundtrack, alongside tracks from established acts.

Scarface: The World is Yours will ship this Fall.
