Bought a Wii, but can’t watch movies? X-OOM Software is here to the rescue: the company has released software, supporting the MJPEG codec, which allows users to play movies on the TV via the Wii.

Simply titled Movies on Wii, the software is easy for beginners and also includes an Expert mode, where users can also cut and back up individual scenes and whole movies as they wish. The software also includes a Fit-to-Stick feature, allowing movies to be automatically loaded on to a SD card in a short, simple process using only the space that is available. It supports DivX, Xvid, MPEG2, MPEG4, WMV and various other movie formats.

X-OOM Movies on Wii is priced at £20 and can be bought from Amazon or from their official website.
