This year’s E3 saw the release of two new pieces of Killzone 2 artwork, showcasing the Helghast soldiers. These images were provided in high-resolution format by SCEA, thanks to whom I can now offer you wallpaper-sized versions of the awesome artworks.
There are three wallpapers in three different resolutions: 2560×1600 (widescreen monitors), 1600×1200 (standard screen monitors) and 480×272 (PSP).
The following images were kindly provided by SCEA and thanks goes out to the original artists who did them. I only cropped, resized and did the wallpapers.
Here goes the first one:

Konami sent out word that Michael Owen, the Newcastle and England striker, will be featured on the UK packaging and promotional materials of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.
Owen will be featured alongside Ronaldo as they grace the covers of the game which launches on PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, PC and DS this Autumn.
“Securing Michael Owen is a real coup for Konami,” commented Jon Murphy, Pro Evolution Soccer Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “Since he burst on to the scene, he has proven himself an incredible goal-scorer, netting at every level both domestic and international. We are delighted to be working alongside such a talent on PES 2008.”
“PES 2008 is a fantastic game, and the only choice for pro players,” added Michael Owen. “It enjoys a brilliant reputation within many, many players and manages to be a true simulation of football while also being a real laugh to play. I look forward to working closely with Konami in the run up to launch, and being a key part of its development.”

Valve has confirmed that Steam Community, an extension to its games delivery service that adds social networking, will launch in beta form by the end of this month. This news was revealed through a Steam message, which also mentions that owners of the Orange Box can now give away their copy of the game to a friend.
The message also carries word that THQ has joined the service, offering a couple of its games, including Company of Heroes, Titan Quest and Full Spectrum Warrior, through the service.

It comes as no surprise that Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division, of which the Xbox is part of, has posted a $1.89 billion operating loss, a 47 percent increase from 2006’s $1.28 billion hit. Interestingly, their revenues are up 28 percent than last year, though it didn’t help them recoup losses.
As per Gamespot, who carries detailed numbers on this matter, the company shipped 6.6 million Xbox 360 units in the last year, up from 5 million in FY2006. Its current installed base is 11.6 million strong, the most in the current-gen console race. The billion dollar hit came from the company’s unprecedented Xbox 360 warranty announcement, which they extended to three years.
Although the company took a hit in this division, Microsoft made quite a bit of profit in its other divisions, seeing $14.7 billion of net income on revenues of $51.12 billion, a 15 percent increase over the prior fiscal year.

The sequel has officially been announced: Far Cry 2 is in development at Ubisoft’s Montreal studio for release in Spring 2008 for PC. Yes, Crytek is no longer dealing with the game, but Crysis which is going to be published by EA.
No other information was revealed, though a teaser website is up, showing various terrains.
