
Music 4 Games reports that Warner Music has purchased the worldwide music publishing rights to music compositions of Microsoft games, including Halo, Fable, Age of Empires and Kameo.
This deal sees Warner claiming and registering Microsoft-owned copyrights in all territories of the world, as well as “identify and develop new synchronization, performance and other music publishing opportunities for the Microsoft music publishing catalogs.” The agreement also includes composition for unpublished games, including Halo 3.
