Nintendo has seen much success with the DS, and, according to their latest announcement, that success is still continuing. As per the press release, since its launch in March 2005, the DS has sold seven million units across Europe and six games have broken the much coveted one million sales mark.
The six games which people seem to love to bits are: Brain Training, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Nintendogs (4 million!), Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart DS.
Laurent Fischer, European Marketing Director for Nintendo commented, “We are delighted by the success of the Nintendo DS and DS Lite and especially pleased to see that we have exceeded the one million mark with games that appeal to both non-gamers and traditional gamers.”
