If Pac-Man is your thing, then be sure to head on over to the PAC-MAN tournaments at E3 this year! Namco Networks will be hosting daily tournaments consisting of two rounds - a qualifying round and a final challenge - giving players the chance to go up against other similarly crazy Pac-Man fans for prizes and “bragging rights.”
During the daily qualifying rounds, contestants will compete on mobile phones to see who can earn the highest PAC-MAN score. There will be three qualifying rounds daily, which are open to all who want to enter. The day’s six highest scores (as displayed on the tournament’s leader board) will qualify contestants for the daily final challenge.Taking it back to the arcade-era, final challenge contestants will face a “sudden death” playoff on a classic PAC-MAN arcade machine. With just one life, challengers must score as many points as possible.
All of the final challenge contestants will receive prizes delivered by PAC-MAN himself. Along with a “PAC-MAN Champion” t-shirt, the daily winner will receive a gift basket of PAC-MAN toys, shirts, and other products available exclusively from ClubNamco.com, Namco Networks’ new retail site.
The tournaments will be run at Namco Networks’ booth (#600 in the South Hall). Qualifying rounds will begin at 11 am, 12 pm and 2 pm; the daily final challenge will be at 3 pm.

Bringing smiles to gamers’ faces, Ubisoft has officially announced that it will no longer be using the much controversial Starforce copy protection system in its games. This comes after news that the publisher dropped Starforce from Heroes of Might and Magic V.
Starforce has been under much fire lately. Many users have claimed that the software has caused problems to their computers, with Ubisoft getting slapped with a $5 million lawsuit by gamers who claimed that Starforce’s DRM has compromised the security of their machines. The anti-piracy company was also recently in the news as one of its employees posted a link to a site where one could illegally download Stardock’s Galactic Civilizations II, apparently trying to prove that without their software pirating a game is easy. The company was served another blow when Aspyr Media decided to abandon Starforce from Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars, as well as sever all ties with the company.

Hosting a spiffy color layout and a spiffier name, Orange Lounge Radio carries a list of games that Konami will release later this year.
As expected, DDR titles are present in the list - in fact, three of them. DDR Supernova is said to be scheduled for release on September 13 on the PS2; DDR Ultramix 4 for the Xbox on November 14; and the first next-gen title in the series - DDR Universe for the Xbox 360 on November 10. Karaoke Revolution: American Idol will also be hitting stores on November 15 for the PS2.
The list also reveals a new Castlevania sequel for the DS. Titled Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, the game is due on November 15. On the portable side, a sequel to Death Jr. is listed for release on the PSP on October 18, with a DS version being released one week earlier. The Silent Hill remake that was previously announced was also mentioned: it will feature the original storyline with a few twists and will be dubbed Silent Hill: Original Sin.
Last, but not least, Bomberman Act Zero will be released on the PSP and Xbox 360 on July 12.
These titles are expected to be shown at E3 next month.

Forced to “rough it” in the great outdoors, Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing. The Open Season video game will allow player to relive the movie experience by playing as Boog and Elliot. Game features include: .
