Demons of Mercy Teaser Image Maxum Games, a new developer, has revealed Demons of Mercy, an upcoming action-adventure title based on the forthcoming comic book series by RH Stavis (Lara Croft Memoirs). No details on the game are available, except for this short excerpt on the storyline: “Game takes place in the not too distant future, where a gorgeous assassin named Mercy Dawn discovers there is more to this world and what is needed to save it from apocalypse.”

The teaser site linked to in this post offers a release date of “Coming in 2006″.

Alien Hominid HD is Deal of the Week

Microsoft sent out word that Alien Hominid HD, the award-winning Xbox Live Arcade game from The Behemoth, will be the “Deal of the Week” this week. It will see a 400 point price drop during this time and, as an added bonus, players who receive at least one achievement will unlock the playable Alien character for Castle Crashers.

Wolfenstein Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360

According to ESRB’s game ratings list, id Software’s classic first-person shooter Wolfenstein 3D is headed to PS3 and Xbox 360.

No further details were given, but many are speculating that the PSN and Xbox Live Arcade release will be timed to promote the upcoming Wolfenstein game in development at Raven Software; it is due out this summer on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Ubi Classics on GOG

Planned future releases include Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Far Cry, Heroes of Might and Magic and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.

Run by Polish publisher CD Projekt, GOG offers DRM-free downloads of classic games with bonus features typically such as downloadable soundtracks, manuals and avatars.

Guitar Hero Opens Own Space in PlayStation Home

Activision today announced that they will be opening up a presence for Guitar Hero in PlayStation Home, letting PS3 users interact, communicate and share experiences together in one unified space.

Dubbed “Backstage with Guitar Hero”, the space will be a themed backstage lounge and massive concert venue where users will be able to meet up, hang out and check out videos for upcoming titles in the franchise. It will add more functionality over time.

Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” in Rock Band

Harmonix seems to be a big fan of classics, as they have announced that Journey’s jukebox classic “Don’t Stop Believin’” is coming to Rock Band.

The song is coming most probably in next week’s batch of DLC, which hits March 31. It is expected to carry the traditional pricing of 160 Microsoft points ($2).
