According to a THQ rep, a fully playable demo of The Outfit has been prepped for release by the company. The demo, currently in the hands of Microsoft, should be released by today. So, look out for it in the Xbox Live Marketplace!
The Outfit, a military action game, will be available in stores starting March 13.
Over on Xbox360Fanboy (you gotta love them!) are images of the Xbox 360 camera that was demoed at Microsoft’s recent Xfest event held in Washington. The photos show off “Xbox Live Camera Video Chat,” a facial mapping software from Digimask, and a tank game that incorporates video into the game.
Explained by the title itself - “Xbox Live Camera Video Chat” will let users’ video chat with friends/strangers/stalkers over Xbox Live. However, most interesting was the “Digimask” software that will allow one to have an in-game likeness of themselves within a few minutes. An implementation of it was shown in the aforementioned tank game.
According to the site’s tipster, the camera will most likely be released this “Fall,” though Microsoft is yet to confirm that.
Gamepolitics carries word that a gaming legislation in Utah that intended to equate violent games with pornography has died in the Senate. However, this is only for the “current session,” and the bill can be continued in future sessions.
On the Matrix Games website is a patch for Flashpoint, updating the tactical war game to v1.10. The update contains new features, improvements to existing eatures and other minor fixes.
Meanwhile, patches for Tycoon City: New York and Law & Order: Criminal Intent have also been issued, updating the games to v1.1.0.5 and v1.1, respectively. No details are available on the changes in the updates.
